| Currie 17 - 17 Glasgow Hawks: Injury time try earns Currie a second home draw Published Date: 12 September 2010 By Alan Lorimer A CONVERTED try in the ninth minute of injury time earned Currie their second home draw this season after a fightback at Malleny Park against a Hawks side that looked to have secured a fourth consecutive win. In a match that had skill, passion and not a little tension, both sides produced high-quality rugby, underlining the product value of this season's revamped Premiership. Hawks' dynamic start was rewarded when prop Adrian Smith took a tap penalty before feeding centre Tom Preece, who blazed through the defence for a try converted by Adamson, who added a penalty goal ten minutes later. Hawks struck again after Rory McKay had procured ball at the tail of the line-out and the backs moved the ball to winger Joffy White, who had space to beat two defenders for a try, Adamson converting from the touchline. A close-range Currie try by Ross Weston, converted by Johnnie Smith , made it 7-17 at the break. The scoreline was unaltered until the 80th minute when Richard Snedden kicked a penalty goal. Then, nine minutes later, Currie attacked after Hawks had lost a line-out. James Johnstone made ground and the ball was moved wide for Tom Brown to score, Snedden's conversion squaring the match.
