To coincide with Glasgow 2018 UK Rowing hosted an evening highlighting their approach to elite sport
Former Hawk Kenny Baillie now in charge of Partnerships & Communications at British Rowing organised the evening which comprised presentations from a panel including Katherine Grainger and Matthew Pinsent followed by a question and answer session
The evening was chaired by a former English Rugby Premiership referee Dave Curtis
It was good to catch up with Kenny who played for many years with Hawks before becoming CEO then moving to a similar post with Glasgow Warriors and subsequently to London Scottish
Two of Kenny’s old team mates Iain Leighton and Cammy Little attended plus our DOR Bob Coats
Also in attendance were SRU past president Ed Crozier and chairman of London Scottish Malcolm Offord
