Gary takes over from Mike Adamson

Hawks are pleased to confirm current 1st XV player Gary Strain has been appointed as new Club Development Officer, replacing Mike Adamson.

Gary played 4 years for Hawks moving from Dalziel, before plying his trade in France at Massy and returning to the UK to play for Newcastle Falcons. Back with Hawks this is a very exciting opportunity both for the Club and Gary.

With a team of committed colleagues Gary's main roles include :

1. Community coaching involvement in local schools, including the Associate Schools.

2. MIDI coaching assistance to the junior section aided by players and staff from Hawks and outwith the Club on a more structured manner. This part of the role will also deliver coach education sessions.

3. Introduction of our Junior Performance initiative designed in association with the schools in our catchment initially, and the junior section, to deliver advanced training and opportunities towards the older age groups. More on that to come in the near future.

We hope you'll join us in welcoming Gary to his new role which should benefit Coaches, Hawks, Schools and most importantly, the players.
