News from our boys across Glasgow & The West

Saturday 8 September saw a few changes to players from Hawks playing at their dual registered clubs.

Erlend Oag, Murray Godsman and Paul Cairncross were called up to Hawks’ squad to play Melrose and Jack McLean travelled to The Greenyards as 21st man.
Max Priestly returned for Hamilton and we all hope he makes a speedy recovery from a bad head cut.

Max Priestly and Kevin McCann at Hamilton.
Yousif Alagilly and Walter Gilbert at GHK
Andrew Nimmo at Biggar
Scott Briggs, Matt Holland and Calum Duke at Glasgow Accies.
Jacob Siems at West of Scotland.

As of season 18/19 Hawks operates a one XV system where all players are dual registered with other clubs. This venture seeks, with no 2nd xv to sustain, to reduce the player drain from clubs in lower leagues allowing them to flourish.

We have been greatly encouraged by initial feedback to this initiative and hope it will strengthen ties with all participating clubs across the Glasgow & The West.
