It is with great sadness that we report the death of Jimmy Docherty
Jimmy was a member of the formidable Glasgow HSFP side of the 1950s winning the Scottish Championship on three occasions
Jimmy was capped for Scotland at that time and played in the historic victory over Wales at Murrayfield in 1955 bringing to an end Scotland's run of defeats stretching back four years to 1951 .
Jimmy sealed the victory with a drop goal following an Arthur Smith try.
