BT Premiership - Week 9
Hawks v Currie (Sat, 25 Oct)
"Take points when they are on offer" is probably the lesson from last week's disappointing and frustrating day for Hawks at Meggatland when, despite looking the better team on the day, we lost 14-13 against Boroughmuir.
We now have three home games to look forward to starting with a mid-table tussle against Currie this Saturday, when several Warriors pro players will grace the Old Anniesland turf.
Currie's back line is boosted by Peter Murchie, Richie Vernon and James Downey. Also starting for them at Hooker will be Kevin Bryce.
In our own ranks, Al Kellock is released to play at 2nd Row and at #15 Peter Horne joins his brother George in the Hawks back line. In addition to our experienced former pro Finn Gillies, the Hawks squad includes exciting young Warriors talent in the form of Tommy Spinks, Zander Fagerson and Andrew Davidson.
Surely a game worth coming down to watch!
However, if that is not enough, our 2nd XV are also in action at home against Aberdeen Grammar in the BT Reserve League National 1.
Kick off time at Old Anniesland for both games is 3pm.
