Round 10 of the BT Premiership will see the two bottom sides, Boroughmuir and Edinburgh Accies, battle it out in hope of moving off the basment of the table.

Boroughmuir were 33-15 winners in the teams’ first meet of the season, and currently sit two points above tomorrow’s opposition in the league table, something which Edinburgh Accies will be looking to overturn.

Accies head coach, Phil Leck, said:

We were particularly poor at home to Boroughmuir, who were well worth their win, however, we are a different side now and are looking to start building some performances to get our season on track.”

His counterpart, Bruce Aithchison, added: “Back to league action and we are fully aware that this will be a tough game against Accies who have a new look side.

“The squad have trained hard and are coming off the back of a good win in the BT Cup which is something we are looking to build on in the short run up to Christmas.”

League leaders Ayr will face their west coast rivals, Glasgow Hawks at Millbrae this weekend. Heriot’s, just one spot and two points behind the Alloway outfit, host Border side Hawick at Goldenacre.

Heriot’s head coach Phil Smith, said:

We have had three inactive weeks to mull over our defeat in our last league outing, away to Hawks, which has been frustrating.

“We had a close game down at Mansfield earlier on in the season. We must be more clinical and put the mistakes of three weeks ago to bed.”

Stirling County will be looking to break into the top four as they travel to The Greenyards to play Melrose, while Edinburgh side Currie host Gala at Malleny Park.

Tom Brown, Simon Berghan, Stuart McInally (all Boroughmuir), Jamie Ritchie, George Turner (Heriot’s), Jack Cuthbert, Joaquin Dominguez (both Hawick), Sean Kennedy (Melrose), Rory Hughes (Stirling County), Mike Cusack and Kevin Bryce (Currie) have all been released by their respective professional sides to play in the BT Premiership this weekend.
