Glasgow Uni's Ist XV finally got their league season up and running with a last gasp win against league leaders Aberdeen to the tune of 12-9. In an evenly fought match Glasgow took the lead through a first half try by scrum half Angus Hardy converted by Sam Bullock. Aberdeen pinned Glasgow back with three penalties to lead 7-9 with minutes remaining before in the final play centre John Rae flew over in the corner after excellent sustained pressure from the forwards. A win 12-9.

In the Cup , Glasgow's 2nds edged Heriot Watt 2's 14-13 at Riccarton while the unbeaten 3rds who were due to meet Heriot Watt 1st XV in the same competition were left disappointed after the referee pulled out and no replacement was made available.
