Herald assesses today's match at Netherdale

Gala v Glasgow Hawks

Gala secured their first win last week scoring 10 tries against Currie. At home again, they take on Hawks who seek a second win after being squeezed out by Ayr, Gala's nemesis on day one.
Interest in an always engrossing fixture has been intensified by the presence of the Glasgow, and sometime Scotland, captain Al Kellock who makes his comeback from summer shoulder surgery in Hawks' colours, having been instructed by Gregor Townsend to see how long his time on the pitch goes, in the hope he can turn out for the Warriors next week.
He is abetted by his fellow Scotland forward Tyrone Holmes, so it should be a debut to remember for the young flanker Tommy Spinks. James Demspey, the Hawks' coach, will use both pros from the start, and said "Their experience will be key in what will be a physical game."
The home coach, George Graham, commented after the big win, "We played some entertaining and accurate rugby and unlike the week before we took every available chance."
Graham is able to turn out the same pack, while he brings in Gavin Young on the wing, for injured Grant Sommerville and Chris Auld is back at centre with ewan Scott dropping to the bench.

Prediction A boost for Hawks
