A much changed squad for this week as we seek a much changed result and performance from last week’s trip to Ayr. It has been extremely tough to make sure that we keep the balance between players who have been heavily involved throughout the entire season and the players who have been released to play. We are extremely lucky this week to see the return of Scotland under 20’s back rowers Bruce Flockhart and Matt Fagerson who both come straight in to start. Paddy Kelly has been able to return from a rib injury in time and will also come straight into start. Warriors have released former Hawk Scott Cummings and we are hoping that he links well with Cammy Fenton to improve on a shaky lineout performance from last week.

George Horne and Hagen Schulte come in at 9 and 10 respectfully and we hope that they can fire a very exciting looking backline. Tijuee Uainivi remains on the bench and we hope that he has the same impact coming on as he did last week.

Coach’s Comments on Match:

After a very disappointing performance last week we have spent a lot of time looking at the video and have pinpointed a few areas to really focus on getting right. Ayr are a team that apply a huge amount of pressure on you when they have the ball and even more so when they don’t have the ball. This is last chance saloon for us at Hawks and we certainly don’t want to come off second best again.
We have no complaints about last week’s result and we are not going to allow ourselves any excuses for not getting things right this week.
