Comments on selection:

Brendan Cullinane earns his start at tighthead while Steven Findlay is rested due to a shoulder strain. James Eddie and Jerry Yanuyanutawa are released by Warriors and influential young back-rower Matt Smith returns to the bench. The back line has a familiar look to it with Erlend Oag available this week as his medical roster allows and comes on to the bench.

Comments on game:

This is a big game for us at Millbrae. Ayr have shown a real consistency so far this season hence their league-topping position and will want to hold on to that lead. We have climbed into fourth spot yet as everyone can see it is a very tight affair again so we must set our goals on performing well in key areas of the match if we are to move up or maintain our position. This is a good local derby and the players all know each other well. There are some fascinating individual battles expected such as both captains being up against each other in the midfield while the left-footed stand-off contest could be very interesting. We will have to work hard and play well if the sizeable Millbrae support is to be troubled, but who knows?
