The series stands at one each this season as Strathclyde won the Varsity match 19-17 at Old Anniesland then Glasgow won their home league match by default (they had taken the lead for the 1st time in 60th min and due to one of their players receiving a serious injury the match was abandoned and result stood).

This Wednesday will be the decider of the series this season but as Glasgow are fairing better in the league after Semester 1, they will go in as favourites.in a year that sees them celebrate their 150th anniversary
