Comments on selection -

Steven Findlay returns from injury and partners the experienced Gary Strain in the front row with Jack Macfarlane. Andrew Kirkland also makes a welcome comeback from injury whilst the industrious Stephen Leckey earns his place in the back row. Sean Yacoubian starts at scrum half as part of our rotation while Pierre Mounal features at full-back. We have a strong bench this week including the debut of talented youngster Bruce Flockhart and one further decision to confirm following a fitness test.

Comments on game -

The players were disappointed not to leave Millbrae with something last week after a hard-fought, highly-competitive match against a good Ayr side. Melrose raise a similar challenge this week and will be fired up by John Dalziel as they seek to secure valuable points in the bid for the play-offs. We trained well on Tuesday and the players are already buzzing for this game judging by their efforts. No doubt the weather may play its part but the Anniesland surface is excellent and it should be another intriguing game to watch in this intense league.
