Coach’s Comments on Selection:

This has been a difficult selection week after losing captain Tommy Spinks to injury we also thought that we would lose co-captain Brendan McGroarty to suspension after seeing a red card last week. Thankfully, the appeal process has shown that it works and the red card has been rescinded from Brendan’s record. We welcome Back Matt Fagerson who has been involved with warriors the last few weeks and we expect to see a huge impact from Matt who is a direct replacement for Tommy.

Paul Cairncross will make his first start for the 1st XV after impressive 2s and training performances in the last few weeks. Jack Steele makes his first start at 10 and we hope he can facilitate what looks to be a very exciting backline

Coach’s Comments on Match:

After a thoroughly disappointing result last week we will look to bounce back against an excellent Currie team who will be brimming with confidence after an excellent win last weekend.

Currie have some excellent players littered throughout there team and none more so than the ever Green Ross Weston. Jamie Forbes is an outstanding attacker and will be served quality ball from Richard Sneddon and the large Currie pack.

We will continue to play an open expansive brand of rugby and we hope this week that we can convert any opportunities we get into points
