Biography

Gordon Reid joined the Glasgow set-up on a full-time basis ahead of season 2011/12 after delivering a string of standout performances for Ayr in Premier 1 and impressing as part of the wider Warriors squad during the previous campaign.

Reid signed a contract extension in 2014, which will keep him at Scotstoun until at least May 2017.

He made his debut for Scotland in the first match of the 2014 summer tour against the USA in Houston and went on to play against Canada and Argentina on that tour.

The loosehead, a fierce competitor who came off the bench to make his club debut against Ospreys on 5 March 2011, put pen to paper on a two-year deal and provided such competition to the likes of Ryan Grant, Jon Welsh and Ed Kalman, to the extent that he was rewarded with a two-year contract extension in early 2012.

He is now an integral part of the Warriors pack and scrums alongside Pat MacArthur, with whom he has packed down at every club, school and international age-grade the pair have played together.
