Holmes joined Glasgow Warriors after playing Super Rugby for the Stormers.

He is an experienced, combative flanker who can also play at number eight.

The 27 year old South African is eligible to play for Scotland through his father and was ever present for Western Province when they won both the Vodacom Cup and Currie Cup in 2012.

He signed a new two-year contract to keep him in Glasgow until at least May 2016.

Tyrone played for Scotland 'A' in the draw with England Saxons in January 2014 and went on to make his debut for Scotland in the defeat to South Africa on the 2014 summer tour.
